S.S. Tieh

Founder

With a distinguished legal career spanning 28 years, S.S. Tieh is a veteran litigator and advocate and solicitor specialising in complex civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, strata management disputes, and professional disciplinary matters.

His extensive courtroom experience includes appearing at every level of the Malaysian judicial hierarchy—from the Magistrates’ and Sessions Courts to the High Court, the Court of Appeal, and the apex Federal Court—as well as before prominent domestic and international arbitral panels.

Beyond active practice, Mr. Tieh has a deep-seated commitment to the regulation and development of the legal profession. He has served the Bar Council of Malaysia in numerous critical capacities, including as counsel, election scrutineer, and member of the Compensation Fund Adjudication Panel. Notably, following his tenure on its Disciplinary Committee, he was appointed by the Chief Judge of Malaya to serve as a Board Member of the Advocates’ & Solicitors’ Disciplinary Board (ASDB) from 2017 to 2021.

A dedicated contributor to the local legal community, Mr. Tieh is an active member of the Selangor Bar Committee (SBC), where he frequently serves on specialised sub-committees and has delivered highly regarded seminars on corporate insolvency and corporate winding-up procedures.

His integrity and governance expertise have also been sought out by external institutions. In 2019, he was appointed to the Disciplinary Committee of the Paralympic Council of Malaysia. Most recently, his deep expertise in real estate and property disputes was recognised through his appointment as a President of the Strata Management Tribunal.
