Malaysia-Invitation to Serve as a Mentor for the Bar Council Small Firms Committee's Mentor-Mentee Programme

Invitation to Serve as a Mentor for the Bar Council Small Firms Committee's Mentor-Mentee Programme

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Circular No 218/2015
Dated 6 Oct 2015

To Members of the Malaysian Bar
Invitation to Serve as a Mentor for the Bar Council Small Firms Committee's Mentor-Mentee Programme
The Bar Council Small Firms Committee ("SFC") initiated a mentor-mentee programme in 2010 and has created a Register of Mentors for this purpose.

The objective of maintaining such a list is to provide lawyers, who are new in practice and/or wish to set up their own practice, or who are sole proprietors and partners of smaller firms, an opportunity to seek guidance from senior Members of the Bar on issues relating to practice management.
The register is maintained on the Malaysian Bar website, and contains names of senior Members of the Bar from each state, who have agreed to share their wealth of knowledge and experience from years of running a legal practice.
SFC invites Members of the Bar to take on the role of being a mentor, which will enable the register to be updated.  If you are interested to serve as a mentor in support of this initiative, please complete and submit the attached reply slip by email to vanimalar@malaysianbar.org.my.
Should you have any enquiries, please contact Vanimalar Money Selvam, Officer, by telephone at 03-2050 2100.
Thank you.
George Varughese
Chairperson
Small Firms Committee
