Malaysia-The Bar Council Safer Malaysia Committee Wants You!

The Bar Council Safer Malaysia Committee Wants You!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Circular No 114/2014
Dated 2 June 2014
To Members of the Malaysian Bar
The Bar Council Safer Malaysia Committee Wants You!
The Bar Council Safer Malaysia Committee ("Safer Malaysia") cordially invites all Members of the Bar to be part of this committee, in our collaborative effort to eradicate crime in our country and work towards achieving a safer Malaysia.
Safer Malaysia will hold its first meeting for the 2014/2015 term, the details of which are as follows:
Date:               14 June 2014 (Saturday)
Time:              11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Venue:            Room 1, 3rd Floor, Bar Council, 15 Leboh Pasar Besar, 50050 Kuala Lumpur
The committee aims to offer solutions to reduce crime rates and propose mechanisms to that effect, such as to lobby for a far more effective security and policing system in Malaysia.
Safer Malaysia will provide ideas to minimise opportunities for crime, launch awareness campaigns and hold dialogues with the relevant authorities.  One of our themes is "Stop the criminal, and we stop the crime".
These are but a few of many other suggestions and proposals for a safer country for us all.
We urge you to join our team or, at the very least, support us.  If you are interested to be a part of Safer Malaysia, or to find out more details, please contact Anusha Gopala Krishnan by telephone at 03-2050 2097, or by email at anusha@malaysianbar.org.my.
Thank you.
Richard Wee Thiam Seng and Darren Lai Xuenwei
Co-Chairpersons
Safer Malaysia Committee
