Expanding the Horizons of Your Practice:
Seminar on How to Establish Foreign Legal Practice in Laos, and Legal Opportunities for Foreign Lawyers (18 July 2019)
The Bar Council, in cooperation with the China-ASEAN Legal Cooperation Centre ("CALCC"), brings you a seminar that aims to provide Members of the Bar with insights into the legal and court systems in Laos; how to establish foreign legal practice in Laos; and the legal opportunities for foreign lawyers in Laos.
Laos is a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations ("ASEAN") and one of the key countries within the "Belt" strategy of the Belt and Road Initiative ("BRI") that covers overland routes and railway transportation.  Laos is poised to be involved in a trillion-dollar development project linking Asia, Africa, China, and Europe.
We encourage Members of the Bar to explore the legal cooperation opportunities in Laos through this event, and to take advantage of the Bar Council's continuing efforts to create new business platforms in ASEAN for the benefit of Members.
Details of the seminar are as follows:
Date:               18 July 2019 (Thursday)
Time:              3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Venue:            Kuala Lumpur Bar Auditorium, Wisma Badan Peguam Malaysia, Unit 4.02, Level 4, 2 Leboh Pasar Besar, 50050 Kuala Lumpur
