Course on First Aid at the Workplace
The Bar Council proposes to organise a two-day course on first aid at the workplace, with the training to be provided by St John Ambulance of Malaysia ("SJAM").
SJAM is the leading first-aid training provider in Malaysia.  With a long history of first-aid training since 1908, SJAM provides comprehensive, complete and practical first-aid training to the public, the private sector, and also schools.
The objective of the course is to equip participants with the knowledge, skills and competency to perform first aid at the workplace.  Participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the assessment conducted by SJAM.
Details of the proposed course are as follows:
Date:               Two consecutive days in April 2019 (tentative)
Venue:            Wisma Badan Peguam Malaysia (formerly known as Wisma Straits Trading), Unit 2-02A, 2nd Floor, 2 Leboh Pasar Besar, 50050 Kuala Lumpur
Fee:                 RM350, which is inclusive of lunch and refreshments for both days (the course fee charged by SJAM is RM300 per person, for a minimum of 20 participants)
This course is open to Members, pupils in chambers, and staff of law firms, and will proceed if there is a minimum of 20 participants.  If you are interested to participate in the course, please register here on or before 28 Feb 2019 (Thursday).
