Court rules Fresh Election for Rantau State Seat
SEREMBAN, Nov 16 (Bernama) - The Special Election Court today declared Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan's unopposed election as the Rantau state assemblyman in the 14th general election null and void and ordered an immediate by-election.

Religious Teacher jailed, fined for caning Student
KAJANG, Nov 16 (Bernama) - A religious teacher was sentenced to six months' jail and slapped with the maximum fine of RM2,000 by the Magistrate's Court here today for causing hurt on his 11-year-old student by caning him on the legs because the boy refused to pray.
