Baby Sloth and Mom Reunited Thanks to Clever Rescuers
Who doesn't love sloths and a rescue story? Luckily, the tourist who found this tiny baby sloth was able to contact a nearby animal rescue center for help in finding the mother. The rescuers' use of audio recordings of the baby sloth's cries seems to be a clever way of locating the mother without further stressing the baby. Spoiler alert: Keep watching for all of the close-up snuggles at the end.

Beloved Robot Dogs Honored in Funeral Ceremony
Whether or not robots will ever have real emotions, plenty of people already feel connections with the inanimate—maybe a mountain or river, or a memento. And some people seem to feel grief when their pet robot dog comes to the end of its life. An electronics repair company is now intermediary between those who have lost their endearing Aibo, and donate it for parts, and those who wish to keep one for years to come. Out of respect for the donors, the company helps provide honors for these broken objects of affection.

What Happened to the Lost Colony of Roanoke?
I have to admit I never watched American Horror Story: Roanoke. Before working on this video, all I knew about the lost colony was what I had learned in elementary school and the internet. However, zombies, aliens, and time travel were probably not the cause of the colonists' mysterious disappearance. In fact, they most likely didn't "disappear" at all. Over centuries, the stories told about Roanoke have reflected our hopes and our deepest fears as Americans. But I think that the truth that lies underneath the legend is even more gripping than the fiction.

Hear the Bizarre Sounds of a Lynx Screaming Match
Eavesdropping on other people's fights in public is usually considered rude, and you shouldn't do it. But when it comes to lynxes, I would say it's OK to watch and listen. Male lynxes fight when they are vying for territory. The interesting thing about their fights is that they don't usually come to blows. Most fights consist of posturing and screaming until one has asserted dominance.

Camels Don't Mind Spines in Their Cacti
When this video popped up on the internet, I had to watch it. I can't say if it was simply because of the camels or the fact that these two are eating cacti … spines and all. I can barely finish fish if I find too many bones in it. However, camels have evolved to be able to eat prickly foods that we'd find inedible. Unlike humans, camels have a special way to bite and swallow cactus. Don't miss out on the slow-mo biting action close to the minute mark, and remember to always chew before swallowing!
