Resolutions Adopted at the 72nd Annual General Meeting
of the Malaysian Bar on 17 Mar 2018

The 72nd Annual General Meeting of the Malaysian Bar ("AGM") was held at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel on 17 Mar 2018 (Saturday).

836 Members of the Bar registered their attendance at the AGM.

The following six resolutions were adopted at the AGM:

(1)    Resolution Regarding the Discovery of "Death Camps" in Perlis;

(2)    Resolution Regarding the Continuing Professional Development Scheme;

(3)    Resolution Calling for the Total Abolition of the Death Penalty;

(4)    Resolution On Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 — More Sentencing Discretion To Judges And Disappointment About Delay In Putting Into Force;

(5)    Resolution for the Introduction of "Anticipatory Bail" Under the Malaysian Criminal Procedure Code; and

(6)    Resolution on Electronic Voting (E-Voting).
