The Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak, YAA Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Richard Malanjum, has extended to us a copy of Arahan Pertukaran Yang Arif Hakim / Pesuruhjaya Kehakiman Mahkamah Tinggi Sabah dan Sarawak Bil 1/2018, dated 27 Nov 2017, regarding the transfer of a number of Judges and Judicial Commissioners.

Tarikh Permulaan Kuat Kuasa Pemakaian Akta Had Masa 1953 [Akta 254] di Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan
The Timbalan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif (Perbandaran) of Perbadanan Labuan, Tuan Haji Rithuan b Haji Mohd Ismail, has extended to us a letter dated 27 Oct 2017 regarding "Tarikh Permulaan Kuat Kuasa Pemakaian Akta Had Masa 1953 [Akta 254] di Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan", which we received on 8 Nov 2017.
The letter pertains to the "Federal Territory of Labuan (Extension and Modification of Limitation Act 1953) Order 2017" ("P.U. (A) 330"), regarding the extension of the Limitation Act 1953 to the Federal Territory of Labuan. 
P.U. (A) 330 came into operation on 27 Oct 2017.

TARIKH PERMULAAN KUAT KUASA PEMAKAIAN AKTA HAD MASA 1953 [AKTA 254] DI WILAYAH PERSEKUTUAN LABUAN
Saya dengan hormatnya merujuk perkara yang tersebut di atas.
2.         Untuk makluman YBhg Dato' Sri/Datuk/Dato'/Tuan/Puan, Akta Had Masa 1953 [Akta 254] telah diperluas pemakaiannya ke Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan berkuat kuasa mulai 27 Oktober 2017 melalui Perintah Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan (Pemerluasan dan Ubah Suaian Akta Had Masa 1953) 2017 [P.U. (A) 330/2017] ("Perintah tersebut"). Perintah tersebut turut memansuhkan pemakaian Ordinan Had Masa 1952 [Sabah Bab 72], dalam pemakaiannya bagi Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan, berkuat kuasa mulai 27 Oktober 2017.
3.         Bersama-sama ini dilampirkan sesalinan warta naskah Perintah tersebut untuk rujukan dan simpanan pihak YBhg Dato' Sri/Datuk/Dato'/Tuan/Puan.  Maklumat lengkap, termasuk teks perundangan, boleh diakses di Portal Rasmi e-Warta Persekutuan di laman sesawang www.federalgazette.agc.gov.my.

Kindly take note that the Selangor Court administration has conveyed to the Selangor Bar Committee of their decision to discontinue the usage of the BC Boxes at the Shah Alam Court Complex and dispose the same by 31st December, 2017.

As such, we request the members of the Selangor Bar to empty out your respective BC Boxes in advance of the disposal date.
