Few managers realise the impact of their decisions on the financial performance of their organisations. Nor are they aware of the value of financial information for making business decisions. Financial statements contain information that is useful both for decision-making as well as for stewardship purposes. The main objectives of financial accounting are the production of meaningful financial statements and the ability to interpret them. These financial statements do not exist in a vacuum. They must be based on fundamental accounting principles, and the proper and correct recording of transactions. They must also be prepared in accordance with the Malaysian regulatory framework for financial reporting.

CCH Executive Events is pleased to present this two-day workshop to equip Non-Finance Managers with a basic understanding of the principles and concepts of financial accounting and the ability to apply them in the preparation and interpretation of financial and related information to meet internal and external reporting obligations. Participants will learn how to interpret financial statements correctly for decision-making, understand the impact of their decisions and bridge the communication gap with their colleagues from the finance department.
